What We Do
Ms. Castillo spent several years working for a large local defense firm, representing employers, big business and insurance companies. The majority of her practice was devoted to labor and employment law. Because of the time she spent on the corporate side of the legal fence, she is uniquely qualified to vigourously represent individuals against those same types of entities.
In addition to her practice with the defense firm, Ms. Castillo also worked for the federal district courts in Baton Rouge and Shreveport. Her federal experence enables her to competently represent individuals in federal court with a thorough knowledge of the interworkings of the system.
Ms. Castillo provides criminal defense representation to clients in city, state and federal courts, as well as juvenile detention proceedings. Her family law practice ranges from intrafamily adoptions to "no contest" divorces to contentious child custody litigation. A member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), Ms. Castillo is one of the select few attorneys in the area who practices immigration law, including the filing of family based petitions with US Customs and Immigration Services.
